Jordan Aviation (JATE) is a pioneering and fast growing company in Jordan. It is the only privately owned commercial airline holding a Jordanian Air Operating Certificate (AOC).The company was established in 1998 and commenced its operations in October 2000. It provides state of the art air charter services globally to many destinations and recently started its regular flights from Aqaba to several important destinations such as Dubai and Alexandria.

The initial registered capital of Jordan Aviation was two million JDs, which is equivalent to three million US Dollars. Since its inception, the company has been a profit making entity and prides itself as being financially solid , thus in the year 2005 its registered capital was raised to 40 million JDs which is equivalent to 60 million US Dollars.
Jordan Aviation commenced operations in 2000 with a single Boeing aircraft. Over the few years, the company has expanded rapidly and is now operating more than 8 large aircraft such as A310s, A320 aside from the B737 family
